where'd all the rattle snakes go ????????? continued.....

"Carl........ August 21 at 3:35am ..........they is TO MANY of them here, iv killed over 20 this year. Its nothing to see one dead on the road. I cant stand them. This one chased me.. it was one of the meanest Snakes iv ever seen.
Floyd Merriman........ it was the same way here when i was a kid. now, like i said, i've only seen 1 in 10 years. where i've had my trot line set was rattle snake central when i was in high school. i've been out there pratically every day for the last 2 months, and walked all over........not one.
when i was 6-7-8-or 10 i used to keep horny toads (texas horned lizard's) staked out like my dad had his roosters. i saw one horny toad about 15 years ago, they used to be everwhere. 'big green grasshoppers' with no wings, what we called jumbo's, i haven't seen one since i moved back here in 92'.......kangaroo rats, i don't know if you've ever seen one, but they were a little rat that looked and was about the same size as a gerble, only hopped on their back legs and had a long tail with a white ball of fluff on the end, used to be everywhere. since 92' i've seen one, and my buddy driving the car ran over him.....i'm sure there's lot's more, but these are just a few of the things i've seen disappear around here since i was your age......'i'm just say'n'.......you know the ol say'n, 'here today, gone tommorrow'...."

i hope everyone that reads this takes notice, especially you young people. i know these things seem dangerious, but with a little common sence you can get past your fear. god put them here right along side us. i know i sure enjoyed seeing them when i was younger and i'm sure that future generations would also.i wouldn';t mind seeing some every now and then now........."let's co-exsist, so we can all exsist"........floyd
